What Robyn does

I work in a counseling capactity to empower children, teens, and families to move through struggles and frustration, towards change and healing. My passion is working with children and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, school issues, trauma, or just having trouble fitting in.

I bring strengths back into focus, and work on building competence, confidence, skills and emotional regulation.

My office is located in Northgate, convenient access to I-5 with easy parking.

What do you want to grow in your child?

What Robyn does best

I work with children and parents from a strength based approch - meaning let's look at what you do well and build on that, and let's give you tools to modify what is not working so well. I specialize in working with indigo and highly sensitive children, as well as anxiety, and childhood trauma.

I also am trained in the Human Design System - a system based on esoteric sciences that can help you understand your best strategies for making decisions and how you are designed to be in the world. The Human Design System is not only beneficial to adults, but for children (and parents of children!) as well.

What does Robyn need?

I'm looking to get to know other open minded professionals in the area to create a mutually beneficial referral network.

Education

I attended Antioch University in Seattle where I obtained my Master of Arts Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child, Couple, and Family Therapy. I am a Certified Human Design Specialist & Teacher as well as a Certified Indigo Family Coach.

Experience

I have worked at a local community mental healh agency as a Child and Family Therapist. While at the agency I co-led groups for parents of explosive children, worked with children with a range of struggles including ADHD symptoms, disruptive behavior disorder, pervasive developmental disorders, depression, anxiety, anger, and more. I have completed intensive study of the Human Design System and am a board member of Human Design for Everyone.
